After hours answering
The calls that come in after you close
Most people will not leave a voicemail at eight in the evening. They ring the next business on the list, and by the morning the job is gone. Every one of those calls is answered in your company name, at the same price as the middle of the day.
A call at half past nine at night
Why nights cost everybody else more
A person has to be paid to sit up
A service built on staff has to cover a night shift, so the night is where their price goes up and where they would rather you used voicemail.
A receptionist on the payroll sleeps
A full time receptionist is about £26000 a year and covers roughly a third of the week. The other two thirds is when this bill arrives.
Ten callers at once are still ten answers
Nothing queues. A storm at midnight that puts forty people on the phone at the same time is forty calls answered at the same time.
You choose what wakes you
A burst pipe reaches you. A quote request waits until the morning with the message and the transcript already written.
The price is the same at every hour
No setup fee. No contract. Minutes over a bundle are 26p each. Your first 14 days are free and we do not ask for a card to start.
Want a real person on the phone instead of the AI? That starts at £39 a month including 30 calls, then £1.25 a call. See how that works.
Trades that lose the most after six
Questions people ask about out of hours cover
What counts as after hours?
Whatever you say it is. You set the hours you answer, and everything outside them comes to us. Most people start with evenings and weekends and end up sending us the lunch hour too.
Is the night rate higher?
No. Three in the morning costs the same as three in the afternoon. That is the part a service built on salaries cannot match, because somebody has to be paid to sit up.
What about bank holidays?
Answered, at the same price. There is nobody to give the day off.
Can it wake me for a real emergency?
Yes. You decide what counts as one for your trade, and those calls are put through to you instead of being written down. Everything else waits until the morning with a message and a transcript.
Will callers know it is out of hours?
They hear your greeting and your questions, the same as any other time of day. Nobody is told the office is shut.
How quickly can I switch it on?
About ten minutes. Set the divert on your phone for the hours you choose, make a test call, and it is running. 14 days free before anything is charged.
Tonight's calls do not have to go to voicemail
Fourteen days free. No card, no contract, no setup fee.
